His tough, tenacious and smart play on the basketball court helped Henson become one of the most respected players in the Big Eight Conference from 1986-90. During his four year college career, Henson set eleven Big Eight records and 21 Kansas State records including both season and career records for assists, steals, and free throw percentage.
